The founder members of organicstone, came together to create a range of exterior flooring that brings together design and concrete sustainability, based from their warehouse in Gloucester Docks. With over 25 years experience in industrial design, responsible for creating in 1990 the first commercial circular paving design, conceived the idea in 2001 for Stoneislands and Stonewaves – sensual, curved sculptural flooring for exterior spaces in stone composites. Drawn from the inspiration of organic architecture, these beautiful, free flowing forms are in harmony with nature. The designs are sympathetic with the human, body mind and spirit and with the creative freedom to express themselves through natural curves.

Organicstone were very proud to announce that they were given the first opportunity in 2008 to use Tiocem is a new cement that decomposes air pollutants, launched in the UK by Castle Cement. It uses a photocatalytic reaction based on patented technology, Tiocem offers the chance to improve air quality in our cities.

The Tiocem was used in both the Garden for George Harrison and Hillier Nurseries Show Garden for RHS Chelsea Flower Show 2008, keeping to their commitment to use products with awareness to the environment. All organicstone products are British Hand-made with 100% recycled granite and using earth friendly manufacturing processes. Tiocem is available on request at an additional cost to standard ranges.
